Beginning the tour from the capital city Delhi, moving onto metropolis of Mumbai, game drive at Ranthambore, head to visit the well known Taj Mahal, the vibrant city of Jaipur, the beautiful city of Udaipur, see the monuments of Vadodara and learn about the history of Ellora Caves. Deccan Odyssey is a rail road journey like no other and a proffers unforgettable experience to the travelers.

Arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji in the afternoon and complete your formalities for your hidden treasures of Gujarat rail journey. After all the procedures, you will be welcomed in a traditional way. Sip the refreshing drink while you are guided to the charming cabins of the luxurious train. Settle in and your will start you rail journey from Mumbai to Vadodara. Dinner will be served on board. Overnight on board the Deccan Odyssey.
Have your succulent breakfast on board and then you will be arriving at Gaekwads, the capital city of Vadodara. Get down from the train and get ready to explore the beautiful city of Vadodara. Head to visit Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park which is known to be the UNESCO world heritage site and an only untouched Mughal Islamic city in India. The impressive landscape a picturesque beauty makes it a one stop destination for every kind of traveler. Then proceed to Jama Masjid the Great Mosque built in 1513. Witness the beautiful blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture which later on became the structure of mosque architecture in India. After exploring, make your way back to the train for your on board lunch. After lunch, move towards Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum which was once considered to be the school for Maharaja’s children. Now it is a paradise for art lovers and an interesting site to learn about ancient art. You can get to see varied display of art such as Raja Ravi Varma's paintings and collection of European masters. Later get ready to enjoy the delicious high tea at the magnificent Lakshmi Vilas Palace where the royal family of the city resides. This well known palace is almost 4 times the size of the Buckingham Palace and boasts of spectacular interiors. After the palace tour, sit with your fellow travelers and savour the royal delicacies whilst witnessing the folk performance of the region. Later get back to Deccan Odyssey for dinner and overnight stay. The train will then depart to Udaipur which is your next destination on this luxury train tour.
Have your breakfast on board and later you will reach your next stop-Udaipur. Known as the City of Lakes, Udaipur is nestled on the shores of Lake Pichola and is without a doubt the most romantic cities of India. On arrival at Udaipur, you will disembark from the train and proceed for sightseeing tour of the city. Head to visit the famous City Palace which is known to be the largest palace complex in the entire Rajasthan. The palace boats of fretted balconies, cupolas and scalloped arches making it a one stop destination for very kind of traveler. Later proceed for a fun filled ferry ride on Lake Pichola and reach Jagmandir. It is situated on the scenic Lake Pichola and is a well known 17th century Palace. Enjoy scrumptious lunch there along with the charming views of the beautiful city of Udaipur. Return back to Deccan Odyssey for a short rest and later embark on a journey to the old city of Udaipur. On arrival, shop for the beautiful variety of handicrafts all ranging from toys, wall hangings to puppets etc. Thereafter you will be returning back to the Deccan Odyssey for a relaxed evening and dinner as we depart for Jodhpur. Overnight on board the Deccan Odyssey.
Today, enjoy delicious breakfast on board and traverse through the beautiful Marwar region. Take a glimpse through the stunning scenery of Thar Desert and arrive at Jodhpur. You can head to visit community villages that belong to the potters, weavers and the Bishnoi Tribe. Interact with the locals and get to know about the beautiful tribe of Jodhpur. Lunch will be served on board the Deccan Odyssey. After lunch, get ready to explore the stunning city of Jodhpur. The city is well known as the Blue city because of its vibrant blue painted houses that encloses the Mehrangarh Fort. Witness the stunning architecture that dates back to the Rajput era and are famous for various forts and palaces. You can head to visit the Clock Tower market and discover old havelis and houses on the way. Proceed to Mehrangarh Fort which is a well known attraction of the city. By evening, you can indulge in savoring Marwari barbecue delights that will be served at the Mehrangarh fort complex. Return back to Deccan Odyssey for overnight stay and proceed to Agra which is your next stop on this luxury train tour.
Today, you will be arriving Agra which is your next stop on this Indian Sojourn Tour. Later proceed to visit Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan, Taj Mahal is considered to be the finest epitome of love attracting tourists from all walks of life. It is also considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World making it a unique spot for every kind of travelers. Then you will be proceeding for champagne breakfast at Taj Khema. Later proceed for lunch at the City Hotel. You can choose for other optional activities like Spa at hotel or you can head to visit Itmad-Ud-Daulah. This masterpiece is a marble mausoleum and is also known as Baby Taj by the people. You can also choose to go for a private shopping tour and buy some souvenirs as a memory of the place. Then head to Agra Fort which is well known for its rich history. With various halls and palaces, the fort is another famous place where you can learn about the history of India. Choose to go to Fatehpur Sikhri or for a private shopping tour to wind up your day. Return back to the luxurious train or you may enjoy the optional activity of Mohabbat-e-Taj Show. Dinner will be served on board and the train will then proceed to Sawai Madhopur.
Wake up early morning and get ready for an enthralling game drive at Ranthambore national park. This park is one of the top tourist destinations that allow the guests to get up close and personal with the animals of the region. Later return back to Deccan Odyssey where you will be having your scrumptious breakfast on board. After the game drive return back to the Deccan Odyssey for lunch. Later visit the beautiful village of Rajasthan that is home to various tribes who thrive on farming and hunting. These people interact and show the guests around the village and give an excellent opportunity to known about their daily lives. Later proceed for afternoon high tea at the famous Sawai Madhopur lodge which is known to be the former hunting lodge of the royal family. After enjoying the high tea, return back to Deccan Odyssey and relax. Enjoy lip smacking dinner on board and the train will then be moving to the city of Jaipur. Overnight on board the Deccan Odyssey.
Today, your day is fixed to explore the beautiful city of Jaipur. The train will later proceed to the colourful city of Jaipur which will be you next stop on this luxurious train tour. Have your lunch on board in the afternoon and then proceed for sightseeing tour of the city of Jaipur. Head to visit Amber fort that edifies the true history of the place. Later, you will be visiting the prominent City Palace which boasts of gardens, courtyards, carved doorways and decorative art. Then head to Jantar Mantar which is adjacent to the City Palace. This historical monument was built in the 18th century by Sawai Jai Singh and is an astronomical observatory garnering tourists from all walks of life. You will be served Lunch at a City hotel and later on you can choose to go for optional tours. You can go for a relaxing spa session at the palace hotel and explore the vibrant bazaars of the city. After the city tout, you will return back to the train for dinner and overnight stay. Deccan Odyssey will then depart for Delhi.
Your Indian Sojourn tour will come to an end with your departure to Delhi Cantt Railway Station.
